TEFC Missions Communication (TEFCMC) is the primary missions-liaison committee initiative of Tottenville Evangelical Free Church (TEFC) and is designed to be the central communications conduit between TEFC ministries (that comprise accessibility to the ministry's leaders, elders, and deacons) and their supported missionaries.
The members of this committee are generally selected on the following criteria: an intense, all-absorbing, unquenchable compulsion for biblical missions, Christ-like maturity, gifted capacity, confirmed competency, ministerial preparation (hermeneutical, biblical, theological, and practical education) and unambiguous convictions. Staff predominantly form this committee. The members of this committee are appointed for a period until they serve their purpose.
As the missions-liaison of TEFC, we are commissioned to frame priorities, goals, and promotions for both local and global missions funding, budgeting, management, administration, and mobilization. We are authorized to educate, inform, inspire, and provide opportunities for TEFC members to coordinate and monitor all missionary partnerships, and facilitate missions communication that best expresses the biblical and practical goals of TEFC and their Missions (Outreach) Ministries.
Some of the ways we fulfill our function within TEFC is by providing for regular communication and accountability with supported missionaries and missions entities, stimulating prayer for missions, and developing media, publications, and promotional materials to facilitate all of the above roles and responsibilities.
To further fulfill our purpose, we organize a missions conference annually, encourage and mobilize TEFC members towards involvement in Biblical missions, provide avenues for TEFC members to become personally involved in missions, and channel healthy and sound ministries within TEFC towards our missionaries abroad. By doing so, those who are faithful on-the-field would be better equipped and mobilized to preach and teach others. We channel ministries both online and in-person.
All that we do is towards the making of disciples mandate given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. By enabling TEFC to be obedient to 2 Tim. 2:2 (entrusting Bible doctrine to faithful men), we are participating in a multiplicative effort, supporting evangelists in the fulfillment of the Great Commission and the advancement of the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
