Missionaries Need Missionaries

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

Imaginative illustration of the true Apostles Peter and Paul

In Acts 4:36 we hear of a man named Joses who was also named Barnabas by the Apostles (which translated means ‘son of encouragement’). In verse 37 we see that having land he sold it and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

In the church today there are many leaders in need of support. At times that support may come financially but at other times it may come in other ways.

For example, it was Barnabas who introduced Paul to the other apostles in Acts 9:27, exhibiting encouragement from beginning.

In continuation of his encouragement to Paul, Barnabas ministered with him at Antioch in Acts 13:19-30 after being sent out from Antioch together by the Holy Spirit; that alone speaks volumes. It was Barnabas who was with him at Lystra in Acts 14:8-18, at Corinth in 1 Cor. 9:6 and at the Jerusalem Council in Acts 15:12.

What is the vision of TEFCMC? To be an encouragement to leaders on the field.

For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth.
